Put air tags in your luggage, check in luggage if possible, in case it gets stolen like mine. Terrible customer service.
My luggage was stolen on December 19 on a ride from Chicago to Minneapolis for a funeral. I do have police report and no one has tried to contact me.

I was incarcerated all I have is a county jail ID would that enough to get on the bus to go back home I'm not from lake county I'm trying to get a bus from lake county to Palm Beach county

I purchased the ticket for a friend that's in the domestic violence situation I talked to Greyhound supervisor Angelica and tried to get them to reschedule the ticket cuz the abuser would not allow her to get to the bus stop on time Greyhound refuses to reschedule the ticket so much for their safe environment I can't believe they would leave somebody stuck in an abusive situation like that bad business

On July 6, 2024, a gross negligence accident occurred. The driver gave my luggage to another passenger, resulting in me losing luggage worth approximately 800 pounds.
The specific situation is as follows: Reservation Number :#326814****
Bus Service :UK940 (Heathrow T2 Gatwick Airport)
event schedule:
-14: 20: Boarding at Heathrow Airport T2, I handed over my black 28 inch suitcase (with a unique vertical shape) to the driver, who then placed the luggage in the car.
-14: 30:At Heathrow T5 station, the driver unloaded my suitcase and handed it to another passenger who got off I saw that the passenger was already holding three or four pieces of luggage.
-14: 31: I saw a suitcase through the car window that looked very similar to mine, so I immediately rushed forward to remind the driver that the luggage that was taken should be mine and asked him to stop and check. He refused, saying that I had to 'wait until Gatwick Airport', but my request was still rejected.
-15:30: Upon arrival at Gatwick Airport, no luggage was found. The driver rejected my request for help, stating that he was simply unable to assist and had to leave. He told me to "return and search for it on my own or call the police".
-15: 50: I called the police and reported my lost luggage on the FLIXBUS service website at the same time.

Key evidence of negligence:
1. The driver failed to verify the ownership of the luggage before handing it over to a third party, which violates your luggage policy
2.He ignored my immediate on-site report and refused to stop and check even though he knew my flight would depart at 18:00.
3. Suspicious situation: As the only Chinese passenger carrying a unique luggage, it is impossible to have an identity error.
The driver's refusal to take action indicates possible collusion.
After the incident occurred, I immediately reported it to the police and submitted a complaint to Flixbus, hoping to receive a reasonable response. Up to now, three days have passed and there has still been no reply.

I left my backpack on the bus. Their process of retrieving lost and found items is completely useless!
They have people in a country that you cannot understand a word they're saying, who speak no English and only read scripts to deal with. They have no place to call, no place to go to look for your item. It's all through email, and I honestly don't feel that anybody who leaves an item on their bus ever gets it back.
I lost valuable items and don't think I will ever get them back. I will never give FlixBus a penny again.

The bus all day had been overheating. The AC quit working then would start again.
The bus sometimes wouldnt start and the driver had to try it several times. It finally broke down in the middle of the night on the side of the highway in Texas, outside of Dallas. The bus was like, screaming, and it smelled of terrible fumes and burning electrical. They told us all to get back on the bus...
heck no. I called an Uber to take me to the Dallas bus station and then made sure my next bus was not a Flix. Seriously considered taking Amtrak for the final leg of the journey.
I will never take a hybrid bus again. This was terrifying.

User's recommendation: Do not take Flix - check your reservation and male sure you get a real Greyhound. Better yet, take the train or fly.
